I manage a team of 8 people who each run merchandising projects and any other implementation projects for Poundland such as new store openings and refits.
I feel like one of the skills that I have improved upon is my ability to manage my workload more efficiently by delegating tasks to my colleagues.
I loved it, I felt like I learnt a lot and my tutor broke everything down to make it easily relatable to my current job role.
It was very well structured, each individual topic was broken down into easy to digest chunks over a 2 hour lesson with an assignment set afterwards.
I received a lot of support from my employers. My line manager was always on hand with any extra help or support that was needed and nothing that I asked them was too much trouble.
My assessor was absolutely amazing. She was always on hand if I had any questions and gave her feedback in a constructive way.
The skills which I have learnt throughout my course have been invaluable. I also gained the confidence in myself which led to me getting promoted into my current role as an R&M team leader.
As my job is mainly a home based role, I'm not really aware of any social activities or anything unfortunately.
