  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I test the deo formulas and come up with new ones. I routinely work with our American Office and other overseas offices. I oversee the work on a few initiatives. I work both in an office setting and a lab one. I appreciate both, but the lab side is my favourite. I have numerous meetings every week to go over the status of the work and keep the big picture in mind. I currently instruct the lab's staff on a variety of topics.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have discovered a lot of new skills since I started working with Unilever. I have gained a lot about proper lab procedures, meeting etiquette, and public speaking. I have taken part in numerous training courses to increase my knowledge, which the organisation provides in abundance. I now understand how to develop and maintain professional relationships both inside and outside the organisation.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have definitely grown up.I genuinely value what I do. I enjoy most things about my profession. What I really love is getting to know so many different people. Even within the confines of Unilever, a multinational company that employs thousands of people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, it is intriguing to learn about the many nations. My expectations were exceeded, in my opinion. I began working here when I was 18 years old, and over the past four years, I think this is mostly due to my job and how much I have been challenged and pushed there.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Here, the managers and coworkers offer good assistance. The support for my research has been wonderful. I get to study one day a week while I'm at work, which is wonderful because it means I don't have to spend as much time on it outside of work. Within the company, there have been many restructurings, but they have always, in my opinion, been handled successfully.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Unilever has been a tremendous help with my academics. Every week, I am allowed to spend one day at work studying. If I need help with anything related to my course that I cannot comprehend, the chemists around me are willing to help. I have had various tense moments while exam or submission deadlines were approaching. I have had tremendous help from Unilever, which has allowed me to reorganise some of my task so that I can handle the stress.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I think the university might help students more. However, I think it has been handled reasonably well. There have been a few communication problems, but each time they have been brought up, they have always been resolved right away. Some professors who have been teaching the course the longest, in particular, have offered exceptional assistance during visits to the university. I have really enjoyed this course, and the other students who took it with have become great friends. The course material has also been fascinating.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It inspires me because it makes me more effective in carrying out my role and gives me the tools I need to deal with challenges in the future. I believe that my training provider is mentoring and developing me day by day to levels and qualifications that I could never have imagined I could reach.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • In addition to jobs, there are many other opportunities. A few office events took held, including the traditional Christmas party. An initiative at Unilever offers volunteers two additional days off (in addition to additional days spent participating in the initiative). When when not working, I like to keep myself quite busy and I have a lot of passions.
