  • i work in consumer market insight as an apprentice which involves: - studying at an online college both monthly and weekly - managing a budget across brands - managing relationships between a brand team and research agencies to deliver innovation and engagement testing - admin tasks such as booking meetings, sending minutes and agendas

  • skills i've learnt - budget management, stakeholder management, meeting management skills, business understanding, prioritisation, organisation, communication skills, consumer market insight understanding

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • - i found the course very difficult and hard to manage alongside the 4 day work role - the job wasnt really what i thought it would be as i thought id be doing marketing but ended up doing research which isnt where my interests/passions naturally lie - i am however very grateful of all the skills i have developed, people i have met and the overall opportunity i was given to work in such a big, corporate company

  • very structured in terms of the course my job role is not exactly what i thought it would be, i think a do a lot more than i signed up for. it would of been great to have a job description before joining.

  • not much - i always had to ask for it and always got quite a hostile response

  • there is yeah but its hard to have time for these things

  • Yes

  • the people the visibility the knowledge you get the variety of job options the perks its purpose


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • think about your purpose think about why you want to join study the recent activity of the business and its history but also structure network ask for a job description there's so many options
