  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves making sales on a daily basis, planning work and and overseeing activities of other sales people. On a day-to-day basis I handle packaging and evaluation and data entry at the end of the day. I am also responsible for data collection and evaluation of customer satisfaction and customer care.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Working in sales I have been able to develop confidence in handling other people. I have also mastered to positively take criticism. I have been able to learn to work under pressure and communicate to the employer and my colleagues effectively. I can also multitask a skill I never had starting here.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • This programme is designed to promote a good relationship between us and the customers. Interacting with new people and being able to answer questions they raise is my best part. Being able to be part of the problem solving team is an honour. The most enjoyable bit is being able to contribute to the success of this organisation.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure involves contact and exposure to the available training resources. We cover the most important bits of sales that includes human relations, financial literacy, customer service and marketing. These areas form a foundation that ensure that our customers are satisfied and look forward to working with us and being loyal partners.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer has given me the opportunity to study further and supports my ventures into sales. Training programmes and exchanges have been constantly organised by the employer to give us the employees motivation to venture deeply into gaining skills to be best sales people. The employer has also provided resources that aid in smooth process.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received considerable help and support from the training provider when working towards perfecting the craft over time. The company in collaboration with the training provider has sessions that are set to help us gain more knowledge and improve our performance and in these sessions modules of sales and marketing is core.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • With my skills and passion for sales I am able to perform efficiently on a daily basis. I am able to manage teams and also contribute. Driving sales is my specialty because that is primarily what I do. I am also able to effectively keep records and work towards profiting the organisation.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • With sales in collaboration with other departments we organize training programmes that bring us together and we are able to learn from one another. We also have networking events that expose us to the qualified people. Aside from that we participate in community activities like cleaning the streets. We also play football yearly and do the best salesman award.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend platinum sales and distribution to my friend because when you get employment here it is an opportunity that could really give meaning to your career in sales. Also the good working conditions that is evident is another advantage that one stands to gain when they join platinum sales and distribution.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Platinum Sales & Distribution?
  • To someone applying to platinum sales and distribution you need to showcase your abilities and highlight your strengths not forgetting to work on your weaknesses. I would also say that adaptability and commitment is key. It is also important to prepare yourself for the work because truth be told there is no room for laziness.
