  • Learned many new skills to take into the professional world and developed some existing skills too

  • I am thoroughly enjoying it, a mixture of university balanced with work suits me well

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At university it is structured fairly well however I am unsure about the transition from second to third year as I join a third year computer science course, this is very different to college and previous apprentices from different companies have said it was a big challenge

  • A lot of support from managers, constant check ins and checks when you are unwell so you do not become over worked

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A good amount but it teaching style, course structure and assessment style is quite different to A-Levels and hard to adapt to

  • A large amount as it is and will be used daily not just programming but software engineering key concepts too

  • Not at work but through university yes

  • Yes

  • Provide high quality of work based learning, an employer that cares about employees wellbeing and they offer many opportunities for all


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lockheed Martin?
  • Make sure you prove you are passionate about what you apply for, complete work outside of school to show this. If you have not chosen subjects related to what you want to apply to just complete extra curricular work to prove you want to do this for a job
