  • As a software engineer, I spend my days designing and writing software with other developers in the team. I am able to work from home or attend the office as I please.

  • I have learnt a plethora of new skills including Java.

  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme as I recognise it is extremely advantageous in comparison to going to university.

  • The programme is very well organised, although it would have been helpful to know more of the specifics about my working day before I had started so I could plan more effectively.

  • I receive all of the support I could hope for, everybody on my team is always willing to help.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have mixed experiences with my training providers, however I overall found tat they were knowledgeable and willing to help.

  • By having a broad understanding of computer science I am a more effective software engineer.

  • Yes - there are loads.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great company to work for that treats its employees like adults - it also teaches you to be independent as you are not shadowed 24/7.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lockheed Martin?
  • Do not be afraid to ask questions at any step of the process, and be interactive, there is never a stupid question.
