I am a Digital Energy Degree Apprentice and I am studying a ICT Degree part time along side my job. I solve customer's technical issues with their Building Management System that is installed on site.
I work in a very encouraging team environment which has enabled me to gain skills such as problem solving, communication and team work. My time management has improved and prioritization as I work on multiple projects.
I enjoy the endless amount of opportunities that the programme offers. I have enjoyed getting involved in multiple projects acorns different business units to gain an understanding of what different departments do. I enjoy the university/work balance as it is nice to practically work as well as academically work.
There is a five year plan that has been given to me where I can choose the pathway I would like to do for my future career. I have a supportive manager that will help me make decisions and guide me in the right direction.
Schneider Electric are very supportive. When I am struggling with my university work they will be happy to give me extra time in my working day to focus on my assignments. Everyone who I have met has been supportive in helping me progress.
Schneider has paid for any university resources that I need and also for my travel and stay at university.
My qualification helps me perform well in my role as it enhances my technical abilities which I can showcase in the work place.
I have attended multiple networking events which have been really beneficial in helping me expand my network. We have regular team meetings which is great and encouraged to come into the office to meet with others.
