  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role is a bartender or a front of house staff, it entails that I serve guests their drinks and on occasions I would be serving them their food. On a daily basis I would have to make sure the areas I am working is clean and safe. Other daily jobs would be making sure the guests are happy with their experience.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to ge patient with guests when they're trying to decide on what they would like to eat or drink. I have developed my communication skills by changing how I speak with certain guests such as with the older generation and the younger generations (children).

  • I enjoy the programme I'm on as it develops my understanding and knowledge of the business. I enjoy the most that it can be both learning and practical.

  • My programme is well organised and structured as it has all the similar topics in one or two modules so its easier for me to learn and find the right information that is needed.

  • I receive a good amount of support. My employer usually let's me try to handle it first to see if I can do it myself and if I can't then she usually helps me enough where I can handle it and I'm pushed in the right direction.

  • I am receiving good support as they are helping me coach through my worries and concerns.

  • It gives me a better understanding of how I can do things within my job role
