  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within my apprenticeship I thoroughly enjoy the day to day challenge that the maintenance environment presents me, if fault finding, fixing, performing checks or even covering the area, no two days are the same and I enjoy the tasking environment. I encounter mechanical, electrical, programming problems all in which I learn new things daily.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, throughout my apprenticeship I find myself learning new things every day. I joined the programme with many weaknesses and I feel like I have been able to attack these and improve in the best way possible. To some at the beginning of their apprenticeship the thought of being in the high pressure environment may be scary however it is very beneficial for growth and learning, it is good that you can be in the deep end, it can test an individual and bring the best out of them.
