  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work on the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom department. Climbing my way up the ladder and looking for opportunities for growth and development. I sit with customers looking at designing and ordering there dream space. I deal with complaints, personal data, orders, stock, and all other aspects of a traditional retail environment.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • In terms of skills I have developed a deeper understanding on our NPS score and how that effects the running of a company. I learnt a lot about training others, giving and receiving feedback. Personal development and colleagues development. I grew in confidence and reinforced a lot of knowledge I previously had.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the coursework style of learning being able to complete the training as and when I liked it. working with other around me to investigate and question manager and other leaders that already do the job. I enjoyed the flexible nature of the course being able to select which module to complete based on my schedule of works.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It's a well structured program but not over structured that its ridged and inflexible. It has an element of self guided learning and selecting an area of learning dependant on the colleagues needs. for example in the customer service project I looked at the NPS score what they says about the store and its customer service and how it can be developed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I got some support from some managers and colleagues in store as and when needed during the apprenticeship. learning from them. mostly me asking them the odd questions or understanding checking. Some of my colleagues would allow me to try some managerial training presenting them feedback and managing work loads.

She She would help me through my work when I was stuck on the wording of some of the questions and took me through each step very clearly. She help me advocate for my self! • Yes absolutely. the knowledge has been useful but I must say the personal development has been the biggest benefit to me and has defiantly help me perform better in my role.
