  • My role is to design kitchens and bathrooms, this includes getting information from customers about what they do and don't want in their new bathroom and creating the idea they were thinking and ensuring this is delivered in an effective way.

  • I have developed a lot of new skills by being able to use in store equipment, and my being able to complete my level 2 retail.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it as I get to meet new people and create their dream kitchen or bathroom. I enjoy seeing the customer happy and satisfied.

  • The companies delivery service could be a lot better but the over all service is pretty good for a mainly DIY store

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We do receive a lot of support in the fact that they sometimes listen to our needs but they do not help mentally as much as a big company should

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I was helped a lot my by training provider, as they always answered any questions I had and a question was never a stupid question. if I needed something explaining further she was happy to do so. This made my experience a lot better for me.

  • I feel it helps be perform better as I am more aware of the regulations of the company and the legislations involved.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend as they are overall a good company to work for. They do give you opportunities and it is a great team to work with within the stores.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to B&Q?
  • Have a basic knowledge on everyday things that go on around the house as you never know what question you are going to have thrown at you. But don't be scared to as a colleague as they are all very helpful and were all new one day.
