  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is an assistant manager of KFC I am expected to run shifts in a daily basis whilst managing a team in order to achieve targets based around people, speed enablers and guest experience as well as maintaining procedures. Aside from Thai I have an admin day each week which will consist of me doing admin related activities and updated for my whole team

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have gained a lot more knowledge about business managements and the different aspects that are needed for this. I already had basic business knowledge because I studied business at A-Level but this helped me to learn new things I didn’t know before

  • I enjoyed the program a lot. My mentor was especially helpful with helping me to understand my work tasks

  • It is very organised and my trainer helped make this easier

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I didn’t really receive any support from my employers as their was no one in store who knew about the apprenticeship or what to do but going forward I think that I will be able to help anyone who wants to join the apprenticeship as I have know done it myself

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot of support we had fortnightly meetings as well as her being available to me if I had an questions all I had to do was drop her an email or a text or call and she would help me with what I needed

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel it has given me a better sense of awareness for my job as it allows me to be able to manage my team better using the new skills that I have learnt

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great and flexible company to work for. There is a lot of different opportunities for progression as well as chances or get better education through work. The staff in restaurant and the teams you work with are a great group of people.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KFC UK & I?
  • Go for it …. I’ve been at KFC for 5 years and have already been given the chance to progress. The teams are lovely once you get to know them and KFC as a company do everything they can to cater for you
