  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to run a shift and make sure that the shift is running smoothly and that the store is set up in the morning correctly and that the close down is good for the morning and also supporting the store manager with jobs that need completing in the store

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills since starting this role, such as placing change orders, placing food orders, cleaning big pieces of equipment that take a long amount of time, knowing what ROCC levels to look out for each day, and making sure the staff know what to look out for as well

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme as this allows me to work towards another qualification, and also allows me to gain more knowledge in the role that I am working and allows me to work towards higher levels if I decide I want to go ahead with them, this also allows me to take this to higher position in my job

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I has been very well organised and I have been able to keep in touch with the people I am working with to make sure that they are there to help me with anything and that I know I can get help that I need, they keep intouch by email which means its easier to keep all the conversations together if I need to look back on them

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer as they want to make sure that I am doing my best and that I have all the information that I need to work towards completing this course and to make sure that I am growing my knowledge I need for my role

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received all the support I need to make sure that I have the right knowledge for my qualifications, this has allowed me to grow more knowledge of topics that I know a small amount about or just extend my knowledge on stuff that I already know, this is a really good way of supporting me

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that it helps me look at the job a little different and look at what I can do to help improve the store in saving money, or helping coach other staff members and new staff members to have the right knowledge that they need and to know the best ways to do jobs

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There isn't any that I know of for everyone to get involved in, the store has conferences for the restaurant managers to go to which they do award ceremonies which the managers are nominated for and they last for a few days, and the only other thing that happens is a couple of charity events

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel like it is a good place to work and it is a really good place to be able to grow and work your way up in to management or even just be able to learn new skills and work in as many areas as possible in the store to help train new staff members


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KFC UK & I?
  • Just to be yourself, everyone is friendly and will help train you when you need help, also ask if you aren't sure of anything as if you don't ask you will never know, everyone helps everyone so you won't need to worry about not knowing what to do
