The apprenticeship is a 3 year contract. Full time college in year 1, 4 days on site 1 day in college in year 2 and full time on site year 3. College teaches basic engineering and hand skills to prepare you for working on site.
I have learnt how to use basic engineering machines, tools and measuring equipment properly as well as how and why aircraft engines work.
I enjoy the hands on side of the apprenticeship a lot but the theory side is not as good in college.
The college program is structured okay but could be improved.
I receive the required and necessary support.
I receive good support from the provider.
I feel that the qualification helps a lot to understand the requirements better.
Not yet as i am in full time college this year.
