First year - Full time college. Second year - Working on aircraft engine components with qualified engineers to learn the trade, completing a day release college course, while completing a L3 NVQ
learned lots about engineering and aircraft engineering specifically throughout the apprenticeship
Very enjoyable, engineers are amazing and a good laugh, and enjoy waking up to something interesting every day
Structured good, the three years are planned out with different section rotations throughout the factory throughout the 3 years
Some support with college work however mostly from the college tutors as they tend to know more about the qualification specifically as they teach it, the company are amazing with support for the on site work
For NVQ they're very supportive and always allow time for us to complete it and have assessors all throughout the factory who are very helpful and knowledgable, college work tends to be managed and supported through the college network due to them knowing more about the L3 BTEC
IT teaches you a lot about aircraft engineering even including engines, on wing and airframes. The course is beneficial for future career growth
Lots of careers events that you can attend to promote apprenticeship
