helping with production of units like power systems and digital displays.
understanding drawings to build units, understanding instructions, developing teamwork and communication skills.
I enjoy my program because I find it interesting how the units that get put into an aircraft are built and how there built.
the program is structured well because it gives the apprentices an overview of most of the sight and the different operations that happen within different departments. there's 3 rotations every 8 months so you should know a lot about each department within 8 months.
we do receive a lot of support when we ask.
we are given a bit of support when working towards the qualification.
The things we have learnt at college hasn't helped me in work at all except from soldering which is the only thing that has helped me so far in work. The math's hasn't helped with any of my work that I'm doing neither has electrical principles.
yes there is like hosting a charity football match after work, organizing tours to other sites and volunteering work.
