  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role consists of dealing with risk within the FCA, specifically I deal with People risk with regards to workforce management. I look at raw data collated from the company and create a snapshot of where we are in dealing with the risks based on the data provided. I also deal with ad-hoc tasks in relation to workforce management.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular activities at my workplace. However, due to COVID that has been initially tricky to do so. Nevertheless, this has improved significantly since then. The reason for my score is due to my limited involvement in extra-curricular activities which is my choice and not down to the company.

  • 9a. Would you recommend FCA to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They are extremely supportive and have a clear interest in ensuring that you have the resources to succeed in performing your role along with achieving your career goal. This is down to the culture of the FCA which focuses on a work-life balance through hybrid working and on a local level, ensuring that you have the support needed to fulfil the role.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to FCA?
  • My advice for those applying to the FCA is to think about your strengths and weaknesses to see if any roles at the FCA can be a good fit for you since the type of work differs based on what department you are assigned to. Another thing would be to go there with an open mind and to take as many opportunities as possible to develop your existing skills or learn new skills that will help you beyond the FCA.
