  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Assist production of performance dashboards and reports for the FCA projects. Identify, collect and migrate data to/from a range of internal and external systems. Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders making recommendations. Understanding the fundamentals of data structures, database system design, implementation and maintenance.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Learnt Programming languages and data visualisations tools. Building professional relationship with internal stakeholders. Participated in various supervision and regulatory training programmes and training.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the company culture and team work. The colleagues are really helping with excellent management. I am quite happy at present but would like to do more to contribute.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well. I have live teach-in sessions followed by practice assignments. I also have a personal tutor and data mentor who help out with the apprenticeship programme. We have support sessions and review meetings regularly with a very supportive yet competitive environment.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager and team-mates are very supportive and approachable. The colleagues help out with the queries and work problems. I have access to several training programmes and teaching sessions as well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • the training provider's staff is quite helpful and devote time to resolve queries.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am being trained with the data programming and visualisation tools that my organisation uses. Further, during the training I have to do 4 projects wherein I can apply my apprenticeship knowledge to the organisational role. It is great incentive.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, I have participated in CEO challenge - CSR initiative, team lunches, data analytics community events. We also have a cricket team and badminton team which I am interested in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Great working environment, supportive colleagues and senior management, flexible timings. FCA promotes healthy work-life balance and equal treatment of employees for all experience levels, and cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Be your smart and confident self. Ask questions if you need any clarifications. Go for it!
