  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role entails both working 9-5:30 as well as studying. I assist in preparing a variety of reports for a variety of clients and work in a team. Alongside client work, I also get involved in committees, events and networking opportunities. Part of my day to day is also getting to know my team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really do enjoy my program as I am ahead of the game getting work experience and gaining a qualification. I also find there is a work life balance as you have the opportunity to do things you love at PwC and PwC will also support what you love which is amazing.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is 2 years in length and all of the exam dates and college days are set out so you can plan for those. However, there is no set clear path as to what happens at the end of the 2 years which can be slightly daunting at times.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is a lot of support given as long as you seek it and ask for it. It is available in all areas including studies, work and personal aspects. This can be through peers, networks, committees, internal teams etc. You can receive support if you need it and know the right people.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The college aspect is excellent as there are lots of resources available and interactive resources online through your account. There are also tutors through chat and email that can assist you when you are confused. Live lessons are useful as you can ask live questions and the materials are interactive and condensed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I don't yet feel that my qualification has helped me perform better in my role but that is perhaps because I have not yet completed all of my exams and due to the line of service I am in. The exams cover a range so you are knowledgeable in all areas.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are several extra curricular activities to involve yourself in. These are typically catered to everyone. There are different committees you can join to advocate things you are passionate about and different networks as well. You are also often invited to professional networking events due to the relationships you build.
