  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • There are 4 different placements within my apprenticeship. Day to day can be anything from planning events to writing articles to attending stakeholder review sessions. I get 7 hours a week within work hours to study for my degree.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to note take for disciplinary hearings. I have developed on skills such as communication and listening.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the program and my job. I enjoy the degree and the subjects I learn about whilst also enjoying my placement and day to day working.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship is very well structured. I get 7 hours a week to complete my degree work as well as I know what times I work.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i have fortnightly meetings with my scheme lead as well as weekly meetings with my placement manager to discuss my work for the week as well as how I am doing within my placement

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • QA give us weekly work to compete in our own time and then every fortnight we have a day session where we talk through this work. However there have been issues such as poor lectures and mix up in groups which brings the score down.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can relate what I learn to my organisation quite frequently and I hope that the knowledge I gain within my degree will help me in my future practice.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Because of covid a lot of these activities are not available but I do know they are on offer. Within my team I help organise team days at different sights which I attend

  • Yes

  • Very friendly organisation. Great benefits when working there. People are very welcoming and the work you do really makes a difference which gives you a high level of job satisfaction.

  • Be yourself. They are looking at the person you are.
