  • My job role includes taking orders from customers, delivering food and drinks to tables, and friendly customer service. This entails either working on the bar, greeting customers as they arrive and taking their order, making their drinks and cashing up their order, or it involves food service.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my customer service skills which has helped me to become more outgoing and has given me a real drive and happiness in coming into work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy the programme. I love learning things that weren’t so obvious to me previously, and I love developing my pre-existing skills.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured, with meetings ranging from 2-4 weeks, training is successfully provided and I don’t feel like i’m being thrown into a deep end.

  • I receive a lot of support in terms of completing work, being paid for meetings, and lots of training that aid my programme.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my training provider thtough regular meetings and emails. During regular meetings I get to talk about my current work, things i need help with and things i would like to discuss.

  • My qualification helps my perform better in my role by giving me tips on excellent customer service and teaches me new things.

  • There are always fundraisers for a charity that is linked with wetherspoon.

  • It’s a great place to work, everyone is really friendly and accommodating. This job helped me to boost my confidence.

  • Be prepared, it’s a busy work environment and not everyone can work at that pace, but also be prepared to have fun.
