I control and direct the food preparation process and polish the dishes before they leave the kitchen to a customer. I plan orders of equipment and food as and when are needed according to identified shortages. I am fully in charge of hiring, managing, and training my kitchen team, and over see the work of my subordinates. I comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
I have learnt new skills such as: learning the difference in leadership and management, learning about the training circle, and learning how to be a good coach, to help other team meme bees progress in their job. I have developed existing skills by going over the 14 main food allergies and talking to my learning coach about them.
I enjoy my programme because I enjoy talking to my learning coach. She helps me to progress in my learning and will listen thoroughly about what I have to say. She teaches me new things and makes me look at scenarios in a different way, that I may not have seen before.
I think the programme is well organised and structured. Each project we do carries on from the next and I believe that it fits into my work really well. I think that using MyLife can be a little hard to get your ahead around, and I’ve found that others using it have found the same issues.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. She is always there to talk things through with me and if I ever need help she will happily guide me.
I receive a lot of support from my learning coach. She teaches me things I previously didn’t understand and she works around my time. I think she is a very good coach and she’s very good at what she does.
I think it has helped me in my day-to-day jobs as I can now see things a different way. It’s good to learn about your teams learning skills and I am now a better manager for it.
