  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have to assist my manager and be able to take over the operation at any given point, I have to ensure my team are all compliant with all operational jobs throughout my branch. I have to keep an eye on all invoicing and also watch how our sales are going to ensure we all hit our KPI targets,

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to ask better questions, this makes the conversation with staff and customer a lot easier. I have learnt about delegating tasks, i now know that i have people around me that are here to help and i do not have to take it all on my self.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has given me a purpose behind my job, I felt before i started my programme i had no sense of direction, i needed to know how to manage people. How to act professional around colleagues and staff. With this programme it gave me the tools on how to use them against the programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the beginning I really didn't think i would end this programme because i felt i had to do my own workload plus extra studying, but with the help of my coach they showed me the structure of the course worked and how i could break it down into small bite size snippets. This meant i could get through more work more efficiently .

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Amazingly i was surprised that my Regional director actually got involved at one point when i was behind, He came in and gave me the time in the day to do my studying to ensure i passed. My team at work also gave me the time and resources to complete my course.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • One Simple World yes! without my team around me helping me do exercises with them i wouldn't of got to the end of my course. Without my workshops and weekly updates i wouldn't be learnt the skills to make better in my roll as an assistant branch manager.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Unfortunately i didn't get chance to do much of this through my course. But since finishing i have now got the comms skills to go and arrange extra curricular activities, we as a branch are going to start out for dinner once a month. This is so we talk about our month i.e Sales, Big quote wins, issues.
