In my day to day role I would serve customers, take enquiries over the telephone or email and devise quotes on materials for customers. I would also manage the local housing trust account.
I have learnt a lot of new skills from my apprenticeship including communicating with people at all levels and sales skills and techniques.
I really enjoyed my programme, it gave me lots of information and confidence to utilise the skills learnt within my role to progress and develop within the branch.
Very well organised and structured. Everything was planned out and I knew exactly what I was doing each week.
I received a lot of support throughout the course from my Mentor, who checked in and provided support whenever needed. I also received support from my branch manager who allowed time in the branch to complete tasks and work. Finally I received support from my colleagues, they helped me understand business information and shared their experiences to support me too.
I received a lot of support, nothing was too much trouble and if I had any questions, I had a point of contact that I was able to get in touch with at any point.
This qualification has helped me greatly because I now feel more comfortable and confident in my role. I understand the aims and strategy of the business so I can work in line with this to ensure I am achieving both what i want to and what the business requires too.
Yes, there are so many other activities to get involved in. We have regional meetings we can attend to learn more about the business and network. We go out once a month as a team, food, drinks, bowling and we all spend time together to build working relationships and bond.
