My daily routine in my current company is all related helping to spread the brand in the south of Europe, our target is Spain and open stores all across the country, not always at the seaside, which would be the first thing that come to everyone mind, other locations are being considered too.
Yes definitely I did, you can tell that my background is orientated to a different field, Media, photography, radio stations and video were my passion and my duties for a long time, so I had to start over, from scratch in order to learn new skills, vocabulary, programs and apps.
As I have said, I never worked in IT before, so it has been an on going challenge from the first minute in the department, nowadays everyone knows how to deal with a computer or a laptop, however, work with Hardware and Software is always a bit more difficult, so my response is a big yes.
This is all new for me, I hope the tutor, the content of the programe and the student path, a long journey ahead 18 months would be a nice way to improve or on the other hand could become a nightmare, so you need to be catch from the beginning.
First of all, let me say that my course did not started yet, I received an email from the company telling us that my tutor change. This last minute change hit my program, so at this point, I do not know the name of my new tutor nor the new date. For the moment, I cannot give a proper response on this point.
As I currently explained in my previous point, my course is in a kind of "Stand By", because the provider made a last minute change, I have not tutor yet, so I am a waiting for a new communication by they side, I cannot wait to start, hopefully It will resolve all my doubts.
I had answered previously that, my work experience has not got anything related with IT, so every little help counts and counts massively because sometimes, the lack of knowledge, block my way to achieve the solution of the problem, so I can guess that as soon as I kick off the course, everything start making sense.
Yes, my company has a lot of extra-Curricular activities to get involved, quiz, best pumpkin competition, best baker in the town, races, challenges and parties. We support three Charities and many times we do a dress down on Fridays for one pound, all this money go to the charities and this is just a small example of our commitment.
Yes
Because we are like a big group of friends, a kind of family. We are living hard times with the pandemic and Brexit and all the issues at customs related to this peculiar situation, however here, we are dealing the strange situation with good mood and trying to be friendly and resolutive.
In my case is easy to find daily encourage, I am Spanish and the way to work here and the way to work in my previous country is slightly different, the big dates, the breaks, the working time, the parties and even the financial year, everything is different, so my best piece of advice/ tips could be, prepare to works the socks off and to enjoy at the same level.
