  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • My work experience had numerous Microsoft Team meetings with people from all over the UK coming and sharing their experiences, wisdom and knowledge to us with numerous solicitors and people in university also. There were also many interesting debates that I thought would not come up e.g. A jaffa cake debate where we discusses if it was a cake or a biscuit and was very fun in my opinion and so the work experience for me was a 10/10 (it was legally a cake!). There were also numerous forage tasks where we worked on contracts like a solicitor would and also put us into the practical part of the job.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I learnt a lot of skills from my work experience for example I now know how to scan through a contract efficiently and analyse it well looking for key details in the contract. I also now know the path to law and how many paths there actually are to the degree at university.

  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • It was very organised in terms of Microsoft Teams as they were always on the time said and I felt it was very good. However, although the forage tasks were very interesting I could not access all the tasks on the given time and may be due to technical issues on that aspect.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learnt alot as many people spoke about Pinsent Masons and showed how it has great values and morales for example they truly believe in the environment and helping clients and the people whereas other law firms may be more focused on increasing their profits whereas this firm does not.
