  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • My work experience involved live seminars about lots of different aspects of law, for example, contract and street law. We also did some tasks, for example, the Jaffa cake task which included formulating and presenting a well balanced and structured argument. We also did a task on drafting and statutory interpretation.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I learnt a lot more critical thinking skills related to how to handle a task that is completely new to me. I also learnt how I could use my transferable skills that I already had to tackle new things and tasks. i also learnt a lot more analytical skills especially in the drafting task.

  • I really enjoyed my work experience it was highly informative and all the supervisors and trainees were really supportive.

  • I found it was highly organised and things ran really smoothly - forage really made things easy to access

  • I learnt quite a lot about how things work especially from supervisors that are trainees and experience this first hand

  • I think it has really helped me to finalise my decision to do law in the future and to study it.

  • Pinsent Masons is a really welcoming and encouraging law firm that really sleeked to make us feel comfortable but also to teach us lots of new things and broaden our horizons


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons?
  • Go for it! it is so worth it and you will learn lots of new things. One tip is just do your research, just be yourself and don't sell yourself short.
