  • Cabler - rodding and roping underground ducts, pulling fibre optic cables in to build new fibre network. Reading job packs and map plans.

  • Yes, map reading, understanding how the telecoms network is in the ground and how it works.

  • I really enjoy my apprenticeship. It is a complete career change for me and I really enjoy working outside and being hands on.

  • very well structured.

  • I am very well supported by my manager and NVQ assessor.

  • Yes I am very well supported

  • I have a better understanding identifying cables and how certain part of the network works.

  • I am involved with a SMART WATCH Trial which helps involve safety for lone working or in rural areas.

  • Not to stress about anything, they provide all the training you will be need and kit. fantastic opportunities once you are in and a job for life if you in the right direction.
