My role is the day to day running of the kitchen. From staff rota to stock ordering and stock controls . I all so ensure that the kitchen is run within marstons policy's and health and safety guide lines . I also check the daily paper work is correct and upto date with guide lines
I believe there is always something new to learn kitchen skills are all ways changing and we as chefs have to learn to change with the times so we can continue to grow with the company and continue to produce great food with great staff and management. And yes I have learned new skills
My programe has been a difficult one with lockdown and personal health issues and at times I have wanted to quit the training I have bern getting . But a new trainer has given me the support and time to get my self together and continue my course work with good success
I found my program at first over whelming and very confusing . But with help from my trainer and showing me how to break task down to smaller peices and doing 1 at a time this has made the program more manageable for me and has helped to take the fear out of doing a task
I have had unbelievable amount of support from my trainer I cant thank him enough for his personal time and patience while I was going through some personal mental issues. Thanks to my trainer im in a better position to continue with my course work and pleased to say I'm doing good work
I belive i have had 1000% support from my trainer. I can get confused and stressed when I don't understand something and my trainer could see the signs and approached the issue from a other angle to help me understand the relevant task in hand so completing the task
I believe I have learned a lot of new information regarding my job and role as Head chef . It has also refreshed my memory on day day to things that you can forget but do naturally. I would recommend this course to any one looking a head to a brighter future
Marston provide a Facebook staff page where we can boast the teams/pub achievements outside of the normal day to day running of the pub for example we do a lot of charity events where we can dress up and take part in the event depending on the theme its fun
Yes
Marstons has a good online training program wich can help you climb up the management chain there is also opportunity to work in different pubs with slightly different menus. Marstons are always looking for new and fun ways to train there staff with not only health and safety but customer experience
The same as you would applying for any job try and do some homework on matstons e.g what is marstons what is its purpose. Who is marstons trying to appeal to . Can you fit in that role and find out how you can fit in that role best to you
