  • Running and managing store. Making sure availibility is there for customers, store is safe for colleagues and customers, managing kpis & coaching and developing staff.

  • Communication skills have improved, planning has improved and overal managerial style I believe has been enhanced.

  • I think its a great program and strips back a lot of the day to day tasks and makes you go into a lot more detail and analyse thibgs you can sometimes take for granted

  • Very organised, in contact with my tutor on regular basis great support network

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel very supported from my area manager and apprenticeship manager David.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Cat Goldie my trainer is excellent and very understanding.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Like i said previously breaks down the tasks you take for granted and teaches you new skills and enhances ones that have maybe not shone through before.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not at that I have really came across but I am involved with couple of managerial groups at a higher level than store manager which is great

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Fantastic company to work for people lead and tech enabled as a discount retailer espcially through this covid pandemic poundland have really came to the front in terms of staff treatment exciting future


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Poundland?
  • Positivity is key. Adapt and change is always key within Poundland we are moving at great pace.
