  • Being able to delegate more. Train other colleagues to take some aspects of daily function not just for holiday cover but also progression

  • Learning new skills that I can hopefully put into practice

  • I had a thorough induction when starting to course to outline what I wuold be doing. We have monthly workshops and I know that if I have any issues or questions I can contact people which I have been between these periods

  • My line manager is very supporting and wants me to success. My colleagues are supporting me to free up time in order to do this course

  • I've had milestone reviews and when I've had issues we have planned in calls to discuss

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am only a few months in but I have learnt how to delegate more. I tend to try and do everything myself which is not sustainable

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Within our management group in the past we have tried to go out and and socialise even if its once or twice a year but with the current COVID restraints we have only managed online quizzes from home

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I worked with Poundland through our agency provider but I joined direct and more so in the recent years I have felt more part of the team. They have also noticed and had faith in my skills which have allowed me to progress and move forward in my job role


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Poundland?
  • Always be honest and don't hold back.
