  • I have a Supervisor in the Nexus Branch of the Leeds office. My role was to oversee a team performing cash testing on lots of engagements. I would need to effectively portfolio manage so I could meet a range of different deadlines. I would also need to do lots of people management, as I dealt with motivating and coaching my own team.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The learning in the qualification helps with the technical side to the job role. It helps with the basic understanding on what is happening. This becomes apparent when issues in the clients books come up and we can take it back to how they have performed their accounting. The qualifications also help with the understanding of Auditing and why there are certain rules that need to be followed.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Just be yourself. Show during the application process and that you are hardworking and determined to learn. The applications process is formal but not scary. If you are punctual and confident then you will be ok. There was an interview and a team exercise. During the team exercise make sure you are to speak confidently and get your points across while listening to what other team members have to say.
