  • An overview of my role would be a customer advisor helping people with their savings and maybe other needs and requirements that they have. My day to day changes each day as customers can come in with different questions or may cancel an appointment or may like a walk in

  • I have learned many new skills and I am developing skills that currently existed, the role helps me to constantly learn on the job and to learn skills that I may not have known if I hadn't have the current role I am currently doing or may not have got to learn

  • I really enjoy the programme I am currently doing as the programme has allowed for me to have opportunities that I wouldn't have had the chance to do if I didn't get onto this programme and really enjoy the staff that I get to work with as well

  • I would say that the structure is very well organised as I know if I need any help or if I have any questions then I know who I can email or get in contact with in order to be able to provide me with the help that I need

  • I receive as much support as I need from my employer as I know that if I have any questions or concerns then I know that I can ask them for help or get in touch with them when need be and they will be able to give me the support I need

  • I receive full support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications as I know if I have questions or if I need help then I can get in touch with my training provider and they will be able to help me with what I may be struggling with at the time

  • I feel that my qualification is very helpful in helping me to perform better in my role as it is allowing for me to gain some extra knowledge about the role that I might not have known otherwise and I can see it being used while I am performing the role

  • In the branch there isn't so much activities to get involved with but in head office I am sure that there will be more there to offer

  • I would recommend Newcastle Building Society to a friend as it is not only a good place to work but a place where you can always be developing your skills and progressing your career in a way that you may not have thought you could have done prior to it

  • The tips and advice that I would give to others applying to Newcastle Building Society is to give as much effort as possible and to put your all into it and to take any opportunity's that present themselves to yourself and you may not get a chance to do them again
