  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within my role I work to protect BT’s network. I am part of the team that help stop 4000 cyber attacks a day as well as engaging with proactively hunting for potential threats to our network. I even get to study for my degree during my day too. I get to rotate through different areas of the business so that my experience is spread across all avenues of security.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me through my progression and performance of my day job because it gives me a true example and foundation into what can be accomplished. This also helps give me a true foundation of knowledge of my qualification to better improve my skill set.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am really lucky because at BT the extra activities are endless. I have been fortunate enough to get involved with Outreach programs for the next generation of apprentices as well as network with other companies like Microsoft to improve who I know and what I know. To go with this we have volunteering days to contribute to society too.
