  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • An induction day in London, followed by three days in the cambridge office shadowing a 'buddy', there is the opportunity to look at a wide range of lines of service, including assurance, tax and deals. There was also the opportunity to sit in on calls and meetings and to do some individual work for the buddy. There is also a presentation presented on the final day to work on.

  • 4. How well organised was your work experience?
  • It was a national scheme that fully complied with the FCA's regulations with regard to confidential information and market rigging. All travel, except to and from the base office was also paid for which removed any cost as a barrier to entry. I knew what I was doing everyday.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learned that it was a relaxed culture, personified in their commitment to hot desking and their dress for your day policy, which meant most associates were wearing jeans and shirts rather than formal attire. This created a relaxed atmosphere where work got done not at the expense of fun.
