  • As an apprentice tool maker i am tasked with dsy to day jobs such as the repair, servicing and modification of dies and jigs.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As an apprentice i have learned various communication and team work skills as well as physical skills such as, hand fitting, CNC and manual machining, Mig and tig welding and various other skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the phsycal work aspect of the apprenticship but found that the college work is very long and stressful

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the begining of my apprenticship the structure was very poor due to the development of the new program, but the kinks and problems are slowly being ironed out with big improvements.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • During the apprenticeship i have receaved alot of support including maths tutoring and one on one meetings to discuss my progress.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have receved alot of support over the 3/4 year from my training provider who has been able to give me advice on how to achgive the best grade possible.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that it has helped to expand my knowledge and put the theroy behind each task in to practice.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are various activitys that you can get involved with out side of work. examples of these includes family events, and sport events (PGA tours and motorsport) and can help raise morel in the work place.

  • Bmw is a greate place to expand as a person giving you greate opertunitys to progress as well as greate advantages such as industry discounts and car scheme etc

  • when applying for the role you must ensure that you are open and honest with all of your answers and try to give the best possible impresion. you must also ensure that you hand in all paper work that has been asked. failuyre to do this may discard your application.
