  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At Aldi everyday is different, If I start at 7 I will be putting the bread out early in the morning, if I start at 6 I will be doing the pick to zero, after either of these are done I will go into the office and take a till out for if I am required to serve customers depending on how busy the store is that day. I am responsible for getting the bread/pick to zero meat out in a time target to ensure all products are on sale for customers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have always lacked confidence, however working at Aldi has completely changed me, I am so much more confident now, I have learnt so much in the last 13 weeks working at Aldi, I know how to deliver excellent customer service, I have developed so many retail skills as this is my first job, i was absolutely clueless coming into the job and now I can do most things in the story by myself

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured, I meet the person from my training provided once a month, she sets me tasks I have to complete by the next time I see her so that she can mark the work and we can discuss the next steps in my apprenticeship work, I set up a day where I can speak to someone from work if I require any assistance with the coursework and the next day I type everything up and send it to the apprentice provider.
