  • I participated in audit engagement teams which required me to carry out various audit procedures and interact with our clients. I carried out testing related to Payroll, Revenue, and other FSLI items disclosed in companies financial accounts. This has been a good, steep learning curve and has increased my understanding of how to perform well in a working environment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I believe this programme allows you to gain key, priceless experience and allows you to experience various different work environments especially when travelling out on client sites which has been a very pleasant experience. I was also able to meet some good peers whilst in different audit engagement teams which is pleasant.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Under each audit engagement team, we are assigned a personal incharge to guide you and increase your learning and understanding of the audit. I believe this allows you to increase your learning and scope very well and allows you to be confident when performing during the placement and allows you to feel confident due to the support provided.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are assigned career coaches, buddies along with other senior members from both the university and the company PwC which is key and essential to allowing you to understand and learn how to perform in a professional work environment. Such support is essential when beginning in this line of work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We are given various documents, links and other information which is essential and helps us understand how to perform well and receive our qualifications well. We are also given an excess of Revision sessions and other support which helps whilst preparing for the exams. This allows you to feel confident and provides you appropriate support to be able to understand your queries if required.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training and support allows you to feel confident in the work you are performing and constructive feedback is given constantly to guide you how to further improve the quality of your work. The training is provided through incharges and career buddies whilst at work and with seniors from the university programme which guide you step by step on how to perform well in your role

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Their are regular emails sent around the work place consisting of social events, yoga classes and many other networking activities which allow you to settle in well into the work environment. Their are also audit meals after most of your audit engagements which allows you to get to meet and understand the people you work with and build a good relationship with them.

  • Yes

  • Because PwC is a reputable firm with exceptional training standards and support to help you build your career. This has significantly increased my scope and understanding of the career in which I want to perform in and has allowed me to improve my quality and understanding of performing in Audit.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Make sure to read and understand the PwC Professionals and values to guide you to the system and work environment expected around PwC. Furthermore, it will be good to go through and read and understand PwC's policies as these are essential due to the complexity and the nature of the services PwC provides.
