  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I worked on the audit of client and tested their controls. I was also doing substantive testing and had to regularly interact with the client as to get support. I was coached by my team as to learn how to complete my work. I worked on multiple industries and clients which gave me a good overview of the different client you can work on.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think this programme is a great opportunity to learn and get work experience at the same time. Nowadays it is very hard to get a placement but with this programme, and this programme offers you a great experience. The support system is very good as well. I enjoy it as you still get time to be with your friends but at the same time you are building a new network. You also learn how to work in a proper work environment and to be aware of the responsibilities you have.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well structured. You spend the first term at university where you go to lectures and learn the theory. During the second term you are then on placement. You are very supported throughout the whole process. The lecturers are very helpful and on placement, everyone is willing to help and makes sure you are able to apply what you learned at university.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend PwC to anyone that would like to work in audit and accounting. PwC is a very well-known firm being part of the big 4. The work experience you get is very helpful to understand how different business and industries work. • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • My assessment process was quite different from the usual assessment as I was an international student. I went through a phone interview where I was asked questions about my goals and motivation to get into this course. I was also asked questions to be able to determine my capabilities, global acumen and how well I would adapt to the workload and responsibilities I would get when I join the course. As an advice I would say to be motivated and show how passionate you are about getting the job.
