  • I have plenty of friends in my team and in other teams which is great. It is fascinating to learn about the clients we work with as they come from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured. The professional exams are over 2 years and internal training is consistent over the 2 years as well. Managers delegate work based on individual tasks so work capacity can vary and it takes some time to get used to if you've not been in a workplace before.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The tutors from our training provider (Kaplan) are available whenever I need have any questions and also we are all assigned a dedicated talent coach who helps us through the programme which is fantastic given the hard nature of some of the exams. There are lots of online resources such as study guides and lecture videos available as well.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Everyone at PwC have a 'people manager' who helps with personal development and career progression and a 'buddy who is always on hand to answer any questions. I also receive a fair amount of support from my peer group and people who joined a year or two before me, this is amazing to have.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that I have consolidated a lot of my in work learning when I have spent time in Kaplan. I have also learnt a great deal of information regarding other taxes and so this has helped my development and my ability to understand whats going on, which can be daunting initially.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of social events happening throughout the week, volunteering activities etc including OFOD.
