My role involves assisting my team's underwriters with ad hoc requests, liaising with brokers and communicating with our central operations team to bring about efficiency with binding and entering risks onto our central systems. I also provide calculations for pre-rating of risks and provide assistance to our credit control team for chasing outstanding premium.
I've learned and developed a tonne of new skills - Mainly my communication and prioritising.
I enjoy my role within the company.
I feel Hiscox values its young employees as much as it values its senior members
The structure of my programme has been explained well and clear. It could have been organised slightly earlier to allow for more preparation
My coach provides sufficient support for development regarding my apprenticeship. This does not crossover with my job role.
I receive support from my employer at request
My salary is reviewed annually and looks at a combination of my experience and responsibility. As it's currently in line with the market I am happy it meets my expectations/living & travel costs.
Company events/activities are quite frequent and a great opportunity to network. Hiscox will also provide support for gym membership or local club memberships.
Yes
Great environment and lovely people.
Be a sponge; listen and learn.
