Essentially my job is a parallel to the store assistant role, I'm required to work the tills, put stock on the shelves and show excellent customer service skills at any opportunity. The opportunity allows me to progress to management
Working on the tills has definitely improved my mathematics ability by working out change and remembering figures as well as cashing up at the end of the shift. I have also improved on my customer service skills in a very forward facing role and am proud to be the polite person I am.
I would say I love my job and my programme the to the business and the constant thrive to learn
Incredibly. Aldi are an excellent employer offering lots of perks and plenty of opportunity to progress and also excellent pay!
The programme is laid out to you from day one, so you know what's expected of you and you expect from the employer from day one.
My provider has made it clear that whenever required I can contact them for support and advice
In this department I would say the only support I receive is that of the work experience, however that is all I need, to be able to learn the job and do my coursework on the side. Next year I hope to receive more support when I start my management training as it is a lot harder, but I have no concern of not being able to get the help I need
The salary is excellent. Possibly one of the best salaries for an apprentice.
Yes, there is an option called Aldi perks which offers discounted cinema tickets and holidays as well as a Vauxhall discount programme.
Yes
They're overall an excellent employer and I love working for them.
Work hard, try hard. Motivate yourself constantly and if you feel down, understand that there is so much support for you. And you can do it.
