  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme, mainly becuase of the people that I work with. They're all very freindly and accommodating, I get on well with all the other graduates and apprentices. Working here as an apprentice met my expectations, pretty much, exactly.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Siemens?
  • Although Siemens is a very large company, I do feel quite valued byt he people that i work with and the rest of my team. Some times I can feel like a very small cog when you think about the whole project or the whole comapny; but within teams and within the Ashby De La Zouch office you are valued.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • If we consider the college i attend as a trainig provider, theyre support is quite poor. I have been disgruntled by poorly organised courseworks, badly written briefs and poor teaching many times in the 18 months that I have been attending. Thankfully my employer will always take it as a high priority to sort out anyhting that is going poorly at college.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My travel costs are more expensive than most apprentices' becuase I live a fair distance from my pplace of work. But the generous salary and good bonuses at christmas time are more than enough to supply my living costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many many extrenal events and public engagement opportunities that we are always encouraged to attend. Volunteering fro GREENPOWER racing events is one of my favorites to do.

  • 9. Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Becuase it is a nice place to work, there are many places to work and lots of opportunities for career exploration. The pay is very competitive and the teams and staff are all extremely pleasant to work with.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • Be yourself, and be professional. I found that in a lot of interviews/assessments days that i have helped out with (and from my own interview), the recruiters appreciate a person that can be comfortable while upholding an air of professionalism.
