  • As part of this role, I attended a series of calls and meetings, and also drafted emails to clients and internal employees alike.

  • While I have improved some of my existing skills such as employability and self-confidence, my main skill development was through listening and engaging with employees.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The afternoon sessions were excellent, with lots of work and meetings arranged. However, some of the morning sessions had limited content.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • I feel like PwC have put a lot of effort into this week, and it has really helped me in finding out about the world of business. I also received various free items, including a hoodie on the last day!

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Monday and Friday sessions were very well structured. However, the work shadowing days sometimes had too little work to complete.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My buddy was excellent in his support throughout, and there was always a member of the recruitment team available to speak to.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There was lots of communication with the HR team in preparation for, and during, the programme.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Couldn't have really asked for more. Excellent salary and some expenses paid.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • No, as it was only a one week programme. However, we did get to use the table tennis and had a complimentary lunch at Pizza Express.

  • Yes

  • A Big Four firm and an excellent experience, with a wonderful work culture.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Don't rush the tests, and don't panic in the telephone interview. They want you to show that you can keep going, even if the questions can be hard.
