My role on a day to day basis involves communicating with me employees and employers and keeping up to date with all the comings and goings of the company. I also take calls from customers and take any important notes. I have recently been tasked with maintain and coming up with fresh and innovative ideas for the website and social media platforms
I have improved upon my interpersonal and communication skills since starting my apprenticeship. I feel I have really progressed as an individual and am better equipped to work in a modern work environment. I have attended many training courses which have further improved my technological skills.
I really enjoy the current program as it has given me a real sense of what the work environment is like and also allowed me to progress further in my studies at the same time. I really enjoy working as part of a team and working with others to improve and reflect upon my work. This also allows me to provide feedback for others and also allows others to let me know how well I am doing my job.
I feel very valued at work as I receive a lot of appreciation form the managers and also from my co-workers. I am constantly given feedback on my performance which shows that they are interested and want me to progress further in my career. I have been involved in many task and projects since starting which have always met their targets and appreciated by management.
The program which I am currently enrolled is very rigorously structured and provides a good amount of support and training at both the induction and afterwards. I have always felt that I can ask for help and am never in a situation where I fell as though I am unprepared or don't know what I'm doing. We also have weekly meetings where we catch up[ on any work that has been done or any outstanding work to be completed for the week. This also gives us a chance to delegate and assign roles.
I have received a lot of support from my training provider and my mentors provides a good amount of support and training at both the induction and afterwards. They are always there if I have any questions and are there if I have any problems with my work and exams
My employer also provides support but in a much different way. I will received my task that are to be completed at the begining of the work and then at the end of the week we will go through them together face to face and see how I have performed and lot at any outstanding tasks and how I can improve on them
My salary is reflected by my age. It doesn't provide much in the way of supporting my living and covering any travel costs I have. I have to look elsewhere for capital to support any other outgoings that I have.
Company events are a frequent occurrence. I have been invited to a lot of them and have always felt welcomed. I also help out with any voluntary activities and asking fellow co-workers if I can be of any assistance. In my free time I also like to engage in sports particularly badminton classes.
Yes
I felt that it is a great start to anyone's life and helps them to learn a lot of important life skills and work skills. I also have learnt a lot from my studies and the workplace gives my a chance to use them in real life automatons as well as a chance to receive real feedback.
My tips and advice that I would give to others applying to the same programme would be to prepare a thorough and detailed cover letter and CV that highlights all of your best qualities and really provides a sense of your type of character. I would also ask what my duties will involve during the interview stage and see what type of assessments are provided.
