  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves testing and cleaning IT based equipment, that are used for film sets. We are a rental company, so any equipment that goes out comes back, therefore we always have equipment going out and coming back. Such equipment that we use are Pc's, switches, Wireless access points etc..

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program that I'm doing a lot s I have a large interest in the film industry and I enjoy feeling apart of the process of making films. I learn new things mostly everyday and meet new people constantly, and there is always work to do everyday.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Despite the slow start to my program, the general program is pretty organized. This can be shown whereby I receive emails to confirm my place in workshops a few weeks before they commence, as well as emails to make sure i have received invitations. They also send out reviews after the workshops have taken placed as well as monthly catch up calls with my trainer.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer does supply me with a lot of support for my needs of the apprenticeship, these things include a laptop, keyboard & mouse, screen and booklets. Not to mention safety boots and clothing as well. My colleges also closely follow and support me at every step of they way to make sure I'm achieving the best I can possibly get.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider gives me relatively good support. I have an easy way to communicate with him and he often replies very quickly. I know that he is always able to help me and able to answer any questions i may have. He always gives me feedback on the work I submit.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As my role here at my work is predominantly IT based, knowing basic information about Networks, computers, and other IT equipment's allows me to understand and develop the knowledge that i need to do thuis job. As the line of work I am in is very niche, the course doesn't cover everything however it does help.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There isn't really any extra curricular to get involved in, except I have got involved in most volunteering jobs such as for international women's day and Black history month events, whereby I helped setting the lights up. Hopefully in the near future there will be more professional networking events where i can attend to network with other people within the industry.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WarnerMedia to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Working at Warner Bro's Leavesden is a great place to work as you learn new things everyday and most people here are very respective and nice and easy to get on with which makes the work day a lot more enjoyable. There are also a lot of great resources such as a luxurious gym and canteen here at Leavesden.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • I'd advise anyone who is thinking about applying to Warner Bro's Discover, to just be themselves throughout the whole process and showcase yourself and what you can do , and try not to be like a robot! If you're suitable for the job, Warner Bros would employ you no matter where you come from or who you are.
