  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a large number of accountancy skills as well as skills such as: time management, organisation, communication, adaptability, leadership, creativity, problem solving. All of these I have learnt and improved through my work place and Babington. Both had a positive involvement in improving all the skills listed above.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed studying my program and I believe it has helped me work towards my future career in accountancy. My skills coach with Babington has been so helpful and worked with me through every step of the process! I enjoyed every workshop I joined and enjoyed what I learnt.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • So well organised! I was given a timetable before I started so I was able to know the exact dates my workshops would fall on. I was then given an induction which looked at what dates I would need to keep free for exams and to ensure I was here to sit the vital synoptic exams. If I had any queries or concerns Babington were there to help with anything I needed to know!

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received all the support needed from my employer. I was given sessions with senior members of the team looking at the tasks and skills I was learning in my workshop sessions. This gave me the opportunity to put what I learnt into practice in my day to day work. I was able to practice all the skills we had studied.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Babington gave me plenty of support! They prepared me for each exam by completing a series of workshops and then a group mock test, throughout the studying we also were constantly practicing exam style questions so we knew what to expect when undertaking the exams ourselves. My skill coach was also there to give me support and advise through the process.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification enabled me to perform my role better as it has given me a deeper understanding of everything I have undertaken at work. This has meant, when I have studied something at college I am able to understand how it all works when inputting the data into our accounting packages when at work!

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are networking events set up for all apprentices and interns. This gives us the opportunity to network and learn more about the company, the different careers there are to offer and the different departments within the company that we don't get to see. These can either be in person or on Zoom.

  • 9a. Would you recommend WarnerMedia to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a great company to work for! They have been supportive throughout my whole apprenticeship and have been encouraging for me to achieve my grades and work on my qualification whilst working and learning the new skills. I have been very happy there doing my Level 3 that I have moved onto studying my Level 4 with them!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • To be honest in your application and give details on why you want to be apart of the company and complete the apprenticeship. The qualification is as important as the job so you need to show passion towards the qualification and the topic that you will be studying for the next few years!
