  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job entails sorting out IT equipment that is used for controlling lights on a film set. We are a rentals company so we send out equipment and then receive it once the production have finished with it. Therefore, we test equipment regularly after being returned to make sure it is able to go back out on another job.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification through my training provider helps me massively in the role I am doing here at Warner Brothers. This is because predominantly the majority of our equipment is IT based. Therefore learning about IT, infrastructure and communications is really crucial to be able to do my job to a good enough standard.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a few extra curricular activities to get involved in such as International women's day, Black History Month and Mens' mental health Awareness week. We did all of the lighting for these honourable events which was a cool experience within itself! This also allowed me to socialise with other people I work with and build up better relationships with colleagues.
