  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am working for a health and public services company. I am involved in the migration of mail accounts and work predominantly in the Central Team. This involves answering a lot of emails from clients who have queries about the process or to fill in forms for clients.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have had 4 weeks of java training at the beginning of my Apprenticeship. I found this extremely insightful and was surprised at the amount I was able to learn in such a short period of time. Since starting my project, I have really learned what it is like to work on a team full of people with different personalities and working in different ways. Being part of his project has really enhanced all of my professional skills.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Accenture?
  • Accenture treat everyone as individuals. Managers and colleagues do not disregard your ability or work ethic just because we are apprentices. I have been able to get fully involved with my project for example, meeting face to face with clients and given big responsibilities from my managers.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organisation and structure of my programme is excellent. We were provided with extensive java training to begin with to prepare us for our roles. We then have the degree aspect of our programme to juggle which managers seem to understand and appreciate that we need some time to do.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary covers my travel costs to and from work, which is a zone 1 - 5 travel card as well as lunch and social costs. I still live at home and am lucky enough to not have to pay for rent so my wages meet my costs.
