I worked in a architecture design and delivery team. On a day to day, I work on a variety of different activities. My primary focus is to look at and develop automated solutions for an internal e-commerce store. I have also recently helped clients optimise their application infrastructure.
I have learnt new skills in: Web development, Java, SQL, TDD, Maths, DevOps, Technical Architecture, AWS, Agile delivery, Ansible, Git/Gerrit, Jenkins and far more
The programme is brilliant. The work is very interesting and enjoyable, and my team mates are great to work with.
Incredibly. I have been recognised for my commitment to the programme in several ways, by being nominated for apprentice of the year, being included in workshops to develop taster sessions for the apprenticeship, and I am regularly chosen to represent the apprenticeship at events.
The training for the programme can be more organised, people regularly receive incorrect details for training - or do not receive them at all.
The training we receive could have more of a practical element so I can apply the theories that I am studying - the support is fine where needed.
My manager is fantastic at providing support, he gives me a lot of responsibility with my work and trusts me that I will deliver. Generally, most people in the company and willing to provide support for work and coursework.
I have not had an issue with living, travel, daily or social costs. Where required, I am provided with expenses whilst on client site.
Yes, there are company events often. I am also part of the golf society, and we have an event every 6-8 weeks. There is also 50% off of my gym membership.
Yes
The opportunities and experience and invaluable at this age.
